Angelo Barr graduated from Queen’s College class of 2009 as Head Boy. During his high school years, he recognized his passion for accounting and went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in the subject at the College of the Bahamas (COB). During his time at COB he interned at Deloitte & Touche in the Finance Department performing internal finance functions and client accounting. He graduated from COB in the spring of 2013 having maintained Honor Roll status throughout his four years of study. Upon graduating, he accepted a full-time job offer with Deloitte in the Audit Department. He went on to sit the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Exam and successfully completed all four parts in the spring of 2014. As an Audit Senior, Angelo participated in a short-term mobility express program in Deloitte New York. Eligibility for this program required high ratings from managers and partners. Angelo was also named Associate of the year 2014-2015. This local and international experience provided a solid foundation for a successful career in the financial industry.
While at Deloitte, Angelo also served as an Advisor for the Junior Achievement program. It was through this program that he developed a love for mentoring young people and was a nominee for Advisor of the Year 2014-2015.
Mr. Barr adds tremendous value to the SME space as a Business / Accounting Consultant with Executive Business Solutions Ltd.. He has always been passionate about business management and enjoys helping businesses maximize their fullest potential. Angelo believes that at the core of business success is proper record keeping, financial analysis, and effective internal controls.
Outside of work, he is deeply concerned about social issues and their impact particularly on young people. He is involved in several groups geared toward youth empowerment and development. Angelo believes that growth occurs when we learn from every experience and use the knowledge to better ourselves and those around us.
